Welcome to Mahroos, an innovative educational platform designed to empower schools, teachers, students, and parents in Bangladesh. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our platform and services. By accessing or using Mahroos, you agree to these Terms in full. If you do not agree, please refrain from using our services.

1. Services

Mahroos provides a range of educational services, including:

  • Peer-to-peer teaching and earning opportunities for students
  • Attendance and result tracking for teachers
  • School-wide dashboards for administrators (e.g., HR, fee management)
  • Real-time alerts and achievement tracking
  • Parent communication and class management tools

We reserve the right to modify or discontinue any service at our discretion without prior notice.

2. User Responsibilities

By using Mahroos, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information during registration or use.
  • Use the platform solely for lawful and educational purposes.
  • Respect intellectual property rights of Mahroos and third parties.
  • Not attempt to disrupt, hack, or misuse the platform’s functionality.

3. Payment Terms

  • Student Earnings: Students teaching peers may earn payments as outlined during onboarding. Earnings are subject to platform policies and processed via local payment gateways (e.g., bKash, Nagad).
  • School Fees: Schools using Mahroos may be subject to subscription or service fees, detailed in your agreement. Payments are due upon invoicing and non-refundable except as required by law.
  • Late Payments: Overdue amounts may incur penalties as specified in your contract.

4. Intellectual Property

  • Upon full payment (where applicable), schools and users retain rights to data and deliverables specific to their use (e.g., attendance records), excluding Mahroos’ proprietary software and content.
  • Mahroos retains the right to showcase anonymized success stories or data for marketing purposes unless otherwise agreed.

5. Confidentiality

We treat all user data (e.g., student records, payment details) as confidential and will not disclose it to third parties except as necessary to provide services or as required by law.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mahroos is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from platform use, even if informed of potential risks. Our total liability shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the past 12 months.

7. Termination

Either party may terminate the agreement with written notice if the other breaches these Terms and fails to remedy the breach within 14 days. Upon termination, you must settle all outstanding payments, and access may be revoked.

8. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms as needed. Changes will be posted on our platform with the updated date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

11. Warranties

Use of integrated third-party tools (e.g., payment gateways, messaging services) is subject to their respective terms and conditions.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Mahroos harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the platform or violation of these Terms.

14. Entire Agreement

These Terms, along with any signed agreements, constitute the full agreement between you and Mahroos, superseding all prior understandings.

15. Dispute Resolution

Disputes will first be addressed through good-faith negotiation. If unresolved, mediation will precede any legal action, as per Bangladeshi law.

16. Language

These Terms are in English. Any translations are for convenience, with the English version prevailing in case of conflict.
